Also, visit their shops and look for things like hospital grade sterilization and sanitation methods. These things are all incredibly important, as getting a tattoo is an invasive process that should only be done by a licensed professional. After finding these things, look for artists who have portfolios of past work, and who are willing to take your ideas and feedback. Getting a tattoo is a very personal experience, and you want an artist who is going to do his or her best to make sure you get exactly what you want.
